Hello!

I am Mattieu Zhai and I am an engineer committed to solving problems through innovation and creative problem-solving. Armed with both a B.S in biological engineering (focus on bioinstrumentation) and an MEng in mechanical engineering, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and a deep-seated curiosity for innovation.

My main skills are in electromechanical/mechatronic systems, mechanical design with CAD (SOLIDWORKS & Autodesk Inventor), as well as robotics and embedded systems. I also have extensive experience in microfluidics, molecular biology, and biological engineering. I have applied these skills towards many projects at Cornell, as well as at my internships.

Mechanical Design Projects

A collection of projects where I highlight my competencies in mechanical design, CAD, and product design. Here, I hope to showcase my ability to model complex systems.

While robotics is a very multi-disciplinary field, I have collected a vast array across many different topics in robotics, such as hardware like sensors/actuators, and programming.

Computational Projects

I am also skilled in a variety of different programming languages and topics across computer science. I am also skilled in FEA and creating computational models in COMSOL.
